In addition , in my work, I strive to evaluate my performance to improve the qualities that I have which should be an objective for a great leader. For my leadership style development, I would want to incorporate aspects associated with different methods utilized to guide people today and cooperate along with them. Saxena ainsi que al. (2017) explain that successful frontrunners in medicine “draw from a show of styles” (p. 2). However, We would describe the leadership style because primarily democratic due to the fact in my function I try in order to pay attention to the suggestions and opinions associated with people around me personally as much because I could. Further inside my work, We would want in order to incorporate qualities associated with a transformational innovator to successfully handle the workload inside my advanced exercise (AP).

Transformational leadership is the popular concept within clinical education and the particular healthcare industry. Therefore, a transformational innovator should possess exceptional communication skills mainly because well as an awareness of the requirements that individuals have. Furthermore, Bass points away that “a life changing leader can encourage others around your pet or her in order to shoot for constant enhancements and achievements” (as cited in McCleskey, 2017, p. 120). Consequently , such a leader can create an effective approach that would be beneficial for both an organization and the people who work for it. One of the aspects of transformational leadership may be the openness that people have when expressing their thoughts (McCleskey, 2017). The leadership approach helps to create a positive environment in the workplace. Although I possess some of the characteristics of a transformational leader, I need to work on many aspects to succeed. In order to be a transformational leader, I need to improve my ability to influence people for them to enhance their skills and knowledge.

As an advanced practice nurse, I will embrace the characteristics of both democratic and transformational leadership. This approach will help me create the appropriate team environment while managing patients. Additionally , the qualities of a transformational leader will help me motivate other medical staff to develop their skills and improve their own knowledge. One of the primary ramifications in AP will be caring for individuals with chronic illnesses, the successful results of which depends around the patient’s involvement within the treatment process.
